Satisfy that craving for something sweet if you wish but do it smart. For example, instead of devouring a big slice of cake, just take a bite or two. It’s often just enough to satisfy that craving. Just be sure to have the discipline to put is aside afterward.

Examine the types of food you are eating and think of ways you can cut down on calories, fat, and sugar. For example, if you make yourself a sandwich, be careful how much cheese and mayonnaise you put on it. These condiments add flavor but they can often double the calories and fat of the sandwich. Use salad dressing sparingly. Pay attention to how much butter you add to your bread or baked potato. Try putting less sugar and milk in your coffee or tea.
